My name is Yuanxi Zhang, MD, MS. I am currently working as an associate researcher in the Department of Neurology and the Friedman Brain Institute of Mount Sinia Hospital in New York City. My current work in Dr Zhenyu Yue’s lab focuses on exploring the mechanisms of degeneration in neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease. I am very interested in medical writing and would like to dedicate my spare time to reporting updates and progress of diagnosis, treatments, mechanisms in regard to Parkinson’s Disease through this blog.
I obtained my medical degree from Guangzhou Medical University and my master's degrees in Human Genetics from Peking University, in Genetics and Genomics from Tulane University.
